The senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District at the National Assembly has said that Chief Chris Uba remained one of the leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Anambra State that would ensure the party’s victory.

She urged party leaders and faithful to shun self-interest and sycophancy.
The senator told her audience to ensure commitment, dedication, as well as to demonstrate creativity and innovation as the party seeks to overthrow the ruling All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA).
According to her, “This is not the time for gallivanting or seeking personal interest. We are called to serve, and this we must demonstrate through our individual and collective actions for stable take over of power.
“We must ensure that our conducts do not drive away our supporters but bring them in, closer to the PDP project in the state. Let us remain united, committed to having a workable and stable election in the local governments, and avoid acts capable of denting the image of the party.
“The task ahead of us does not call for mere occupying of positions, rather, it is a call to service, so that Anambra State will maintain stable and effective leadership come 2022. Therefore, this meeting is not only targeted at inaugurating SEC, it is also a platform for us to share and reflect on the Council’s Terms of Reference, and set preliminary timelines for setting up formidable election management in 21 LGAs and 326 electoral wards.
“I want to emphasize that while reflecting on the task before us, no less is expected of us than our utmost best, which calls for dedication and commitment. More importantly, your demonstration of ingenuity, creativity, innovation and pro-activeness in the handling of both individual and group tasks shall provide the magic that will enable us to overcome our opponents.
“Therefore, your conduct and performance must at all times reflect your sensitivity to the needs, for our candidate to emerge victorious come November 6, 2021”, she admonished.
While reminding the team members of their expectations and terms of reference, Ekwunife, a former governorship aspirant in Anambra, told the PDD supporters to leave no stone unturned until the party’s governorship standard-bearer in the November 6 election, Mr Valentine Chineto Ozigbo, emerges winner.
