1. Buhari Govt Extends Airport Closure Over Coronavirus

The Muhammadu Buhari-led Federal Government on Monday extended the closure of airports in the country by two weeks due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

This was made known by the Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika, in a post on Twitter.

2. Lagos To Enforce Wearing Face Masks, Prosecute Patients Who Lie About Travel History

The Babajide Sanwo-Olu-led Lagos State Government will from next week commence the enforcement of wearing of face mask in public places.

This was disclosed on Monday by Sanwo-Olu during at the 7th briefing on coronavirus (COVID-19) at the State House, Marina, Lagos.

3. Boko Haram Leaders Killed By Fighter Jet Bombs In Borno State

Several key Boko Haram terrorists/ISWAP leaders have been killed and their structures destroyed in air strikes conducted by the Air Task Force of Operation LAFIYA DOLE at Durbada in Borno State.

The operation was executed on 17 April 2020 on the heels of credible Human Intelligence (HUMINT) reports, which were confirmed by series of Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) missions, indicating that the settlement was one of the locations where some of the terrorists’ hierarchy often hibernate.

President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari has issued a directive to security agents to fish out those responsible for the recent killing of 47 persons in Katsina State.

The president issued the directive while reacting to the latest attacks in three local governments of Katsina State which resulted in the death of 47 persons.

7. First Case Of COVID-19 Recorded In Jigawa State

The Jigawa State Government on Monday confirmed the index case of Coronavirus (COVID-19) in the state.

Gov. Muhammad Badaru made the disclosure at a news conference in Dutse, the index case was recorded in Kazaure Local Government Area (LGA) of the state.

8. Kidnappers Den Uncovered At Shogunle Oshodi

The Nigeria Police on Monday uncovered a kidnapper den located at the Shogunle bus stop, in Oshodi Lagos.

According to further information gathered, the police operatives arrested six suspects at the location, on Monday.

9. Coronavirus: Ondo State Index Case Tests Negative

The Ondo State Government has announced that the index case of Coronavirus has been discharged after confirmed negative to the virus.

The Governor of the state, Rotimi Akeredolu on Monday disclosed that other COVID-19 patients were responding to treatment.

10. COVID-19: CAF Adjourns Confederation Cup Finals Indefinitely

CAF has postponed the one-match final for the Confederation Cup this season until further notice.
