The Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Friday evening confirmed 114 new cases of coronavirus have been recorded in Nigeria. This brings the total number of cases in the country to 1095.

The federal government of Nigeria has approved a comprehensive life insurance package for all COVID-19 frontline workers in the fight against the pandemic. The Chairman of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19, Mr Boss Mustapha, who made this known during a press briefing in Abuja earlier today this was one most compulsory initiative the Nigerian government did to encourage all the health workers who are faced with the daily task of saving the lives of many Nigerian from the deadly pandemic.

The Nigeria Center For Disease Control on Friday, as at 11:30 pm, 24 of April confirmed a total number of 1095 COVID-19 cases in Nigeria. NCDC in a post on their twitter account noted that 114 new cases were confirmed on Friday.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) Chairmen in the 36 States of Nigeria and the FCT has denied taking any position over President Muhammadu Buhari’s search for a new Chief of Staff. Naija News recalls that Abba Kyari, whose death was announced last Friday, had died of complications from the deadly coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

Naija News recalls that Abba Kyari, whose death was announced last Friday, had died of complications from the deadly coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

Alhaji Mamman Daura, a nephew of President Muhammadu Buhari, has claimed that Abba Kyari was among those considered for the position of Vice President to President Olusegun Obasanjo. In a tribute to the late chief of staff to the President Muhammadu Buhari, Daura said this was in the run-up to the 1999 Presidential election when Obasanjo was the Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The Nigerian entertainment industry, on the early hour of Friday (today), lost another veteran who had for a while battle a yet to be revealed sickness. Reports reaching Naija News at this time confirmed that actor, Yomi Obileye, has died on April 24, 2020.
