The Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Friday evening confirmed 114 new cases of coronavirus have been recorded in Nigeria. This brings the total number of cases in the country to 1095.

Alhaji Mamman Daura, a nephew of President Muhammadu Buhari, has claimed that Abba Kyari was among those considered for the position of Vice President to President Olusegun Obasanjo. In a tribute to the late chief of staff to the President Muhammadu Buhari, Daura said this was in the run-up to the 1999 Presidential election when Obasanjo was the Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
