Barely two months after his appointment and swearing-in as Special Adviser on Political Affairs to Bauchi State Governor, Sen Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir, Musa Haruna Shittu has been relieved of his appointment.

This is contained in a press release signed by the Spokesperson for the Governor, Ladan Salihu made available to news men on Friday evening, Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed approved with immediate effect, the disengagement of Alhaji Musa Haruna Shittu as his Special Adviser on Political Affairs.

According to the terse statement, the Governor thanked the former Special Adviser for his contribution towards the development of the state and wished him success in his future endeavours.

Before his appointment and swearing-in two months ago, Musa Haruna Shittu was the Deputy Chairman of the PDP for the Northern Zone of the state and he was instrumental to the election of Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir as the Governor during the last election.

Though no reason was given for the action of the Governor but there are insinuations that it was due to an irreconcilable political difference between the two.

All efforts to get the former Special Adviser to react to the development proved abortive as his phone was switched off when our correspondent called.
