About 2,500 legislative aides are demanding that the management of the National Assembly should keep to its December agreement and pay their salaries arrears as the assembly resumes on Tuesday February 9, 2021.

The aides to legislators have also called on lawmakers to convince the Clerk of the National Assembly (CNA), Arch Amos Ojo, to pay the arrears of 2019 without further delay, especially as he has committed to this in December 2020 to avert the planned protest within the National Assembly complex before the close of the last session.

They said their demand is genuine moreso the money has long been released by the Ministry of Finance to the assembly for disbursement.
