The Lagos State Government has shut the Agege Central Mosque after some its worshippers on Wednesday 1st of April, attacked members of the State COVID-19 Taskforce appointed to monitor and enforce compliance against public gatherings exceeding 25 people.
The taskforce team while acting on a tipoff, stormed the mosque to stop their prayer session but were rather attacked by the over 300 Muslims praying in the mosque.
The state government today moved in and sealed off the mosque.
