Two hoodlums were nabbed by vigilante while trying to break into people’s shops during curfew in Benin City, Edo State.

The incident is reported to have occurred at Adolor area, opposite UBTH on Tuesday afternoon, October 20. It was gathered that members of the community vigilante group spotted the 4-man gang seen trying to burgle some shops in the area.

They caught two of the culprits while the other two managed to escape.

It should be recalled that the state governor on Monday October 19, declared a 24 hour curfew in the ancient city after suspected hoodlums broke into the Benin Correctional Centre and freed some inmates in one of the cells.
