Talented Nollywood actress, Lilian Afegbai has restored her Instagram account, after weeks of deactivating it amidst an issue involving her mother.

In the heat of the EdSARS protest in October, Lilian’s police mother, Carol Afegbai, was accused of killing one Momodu Ibrahim, a UNIBEN student in 2013, while she served as the DPO of Ogida Police station in Edo state.

In response to the allegation against her mother, the actress took to her Instagram page to state that her mother was absolved of the crime and the officer that was involved, one Amadin Idahosa was sentenced to life in prison.

However, in what would be considered a shocking turn of event, Lilan’s mum, Carol admitted to shooting the UNIBEN student in 2013.

The retired CSP Afegbai however admitted to shooting the student in the leg late at night after he tried to attack the police team at the checkpoint.

The development caused the actress to deactivate her account, after receiving multiple threats and insults for covering up for her mother.

Lilian who has apparently gotten over the ordeal, has restored her Instagram account and after weeks of staying silent, she has taken to the photo sharing platform to celebrate her birthday.
