Guinness Book of World Records has honoured Nigerian athlete, Blessing Okagbare for beating Usain Bolt to become a Guinness World Record holder.
Blessing was the only athlete to have attended the Athletics Diamond Meetings 67 times, beating Usain Bolt, the previous record holder to achieve the feat.
The sprinter made the announcement in a post she shared via her official social media page on Wednesday.Nigerian athlete in Guinness Record
According to her, the recognition is a dream that turned into reality through God’s grace and determination.
Taking to her verified Instagram page, the Nigerian athlete wrote; “A dream made reality through God’s grace and determination. Look what finally came in the mail. Thanks to Guinness book of world records, I am indeed honored, proud and grateful.”
