OBITUARY | After Gulak, another Top Nigerian, AIG Dega, Killed in Jos

Gunmen have reportedly killed a retired Assistant Inspector-General (AIG) of police Christopher Dega in cold blood.

Dega, a Senior Special Assistant to Benue Governor Samuel Ortom on Security before he was killed in Jos, Plateau State Capital.

It was learnt he was shot in the chest several times by gunmen on Tuesday.

AIG Dega had a brilliant career in the Nigerian Police Force and was twice Commissioner of Police in Borno and Edo States.

He hailed from Katsina Ala local government area in Benue state.

Dega’s killing came on the heels of  previous murder of another top Nigerian – Ahmed Gulak in Owerri.
