The attached video shows puzzled South African President Cyril Ramaphosa lamenting how someone close to him stole his iPad shortly before a press conference on Tuesday.
President Ramaphosa was in Cape Town for the establishment of the Transnet National Ports Authority as an independent subsidiary of Transnet on Tuesday.
However, shortly after the alarm, the iPad reappeared.
According to EyeWitnessNews, it seems crime may not have been to blame for the lost-and-found episode.
A few hours later, the “first iPad”, as Ramaphosa’s head of digital called it, was found and back in its owners hands, to his relief.
