Four lawmakers in the House of Representatives elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from Zamfara State have dumped the party for the All Progressives Congress (APC).
This was disclosed in a letter signed by Rep. Suleiman Gumi and read at plenary on Tuesday.
The lawmakers are Bello Hassan Shinkafi, Ahmed Bakura, Ahmed Shehu and Suleiman Gumi from Zamfara State.
They cited the crisis in PDP in the state which led to dissolution of the state chapter by the National leadership of the party, as reason for leaving the party.
Recall that recently, three senators of the PDP stock from Zamfara also officially joined APC.
The senators Senator Sahabi Alhaji Yau (Zamfara North), Senator Hassan Mohammed Gusau (Zamfara Central), and Senator Lawali Hassan Anka (Zamfara West).
