Some seven members of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have resigned their positions from the party.

The resigned members are the Deputy National Financial Secretary, Deputy Legal Adviser, Deputy National Auditor, Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Deputy Women Leader, and the Deputy Organising Secretary.

The resigned NWC members, who pledged to remain loyal to the party, said that can no longer work with the current NWC led by Prince Uche Secondus.

Reacting to the development, a political analyst, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said:

“Secondus is pure horror. He has accepted to remain as chairman whereas that would seal the fate of South producing President in 2023.

“We can’t hold position of the President and national chairman at the same time.
