5 new coronavirus cases in Nigeria released by NCDC

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed five new cases of coronavirus in Lagos, Rivers, and Abuja, taking the national total to 51.

NCDC recorded two cases in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, two cases in Lagos and one case in Rivers state.

Three out of five were travellers into Nigeria and two are close contacts of a confirmed case.

NCDC gave the breakdown of coronavirus cases in each state in Nigeria as follows:
