Kano is in serious trouble as 23 new cases of Coronavirus have been reported in the densely populated state.
According to the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, Kano now has 59 confirmed cases of Coronavirus as at 11:10pm on Monday.
The figures being recorded by Kano are far higher than any state in terms of rate of infections.
Kano ramps up 59 coronavirus infections just within nine days, after it recorded its first case on 11 April, 2020.
Lagos, the epicentre of the virus, never had it as bad as Kano in nine days.
In fact, in the first nine days, Lagos had only two cases. Lagos never had up to 10 cases in one month.
If Kano continues to ramp up more coronavirus cases, in one month, it will overtake Lagos’ whopping figures of 376.
In few days to come, if urgent steps are not taking, Kano will overtake Abuja in the second position.
It appears that the State was not prepared enough to handle coronavirus outbreaks.
