The N50 million suit at the Federal High Court, Owerri filed by Comrade Ambrose Nwaogwugwu, the Director-General, Imo PDP New Media, against the Department of State Security (DSS), for illegally and unlawfully arresting and detaining him, was adjourned to Monday, June 22, 2020.

The adjournment was granted after Counsel for the DSS, pleaded for a short time of five working days to go through the motions and prayers of the suit, which they stated they could not do, following the public holiday of Friday, June 12, 2020 and the weekend that followed it before the coming up of the matter on Monday, June 15, 2020.

The team of legal Counsel for Comrade Ambrose Nwaogwugwu, led by Chief Mike Ahamba, SAN argued that the DSS was served the notice of the suit over one week ago and saw no reason for the request for a short time. They also expressed disappointment and displeasure that the DSS failed to produce Comrade Ambrose Nwaogwugwu in Court.
