Bauchi State Police Command has arrested a dismissed Police Sargent who specializes in snatching motorcycles.
A statement signed by DSP Ahmed Mohammed Wakil Police Public Relations Officer, Bauchi State Command on Wednesday stated that “
Patrol team attached to Yelwa Police Station Bauchi arrested a serial motorcycle snatcher one dismissed Police sergeant Makama Musa ‘M’ aged 34years of Gombe, Gombe State. However, the dismissed sergeant was arrested wearing Police Uniform along Dass road following a series of complaint by the resident of the area.”
He said ” The suspect confessed to the crime and the following exhibit was recovered from him;

Wakil said “
The Commissioner of Police directed that the case should be transferred to State Criminal Investigation Department SCID for discreet investigation after which the suspect would be charge to court for prosecution/possible conviction.”
Meanwhile, he assured members of the public that the Command is committed to the fight against Crime and Criminality in the State and will appreciate every useful information that will assist in apprehension and prosecution of offenders
