Following the redeployment of senior officers by the Chief of Army Staff recently, Major General Ayuba Ted Hamman has assumed Command of the Army Headquarters Garrison.

In a statement by the Deputy Director Army Public Relations, Col Omale Abraham Ochagwuba, the former Provost Marshall warned officers against indiscipline and eye service.

He said his leadership style is anchored on a tripod of discipline, training and welfare, adding that he wouldn’t hesitate to court Martial anyone who so deserves.

He therefore pledged to run an open door policy but warned soldiers not to abuse the system as it will not replace existing channel of communications.

He also promised to improve and build on the legacies of his predecessor Major General James Gwaza Nyam who was also redeployed to Nigerian Army Corps of Artillery as Commander.

Earlier in his address, Maj Gen Nyam thanked the soldiers and officers for their dedication to duty during tour of duty at the AHQ Garrison.

He further charged them to extend same to his successor.
