The Deputy Speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly, Hon. Yekini Idiaye, has been impeached.
He was impeached on Wednesday during a plenary session of the Assembly in Benin City, barely four days after endorsing candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming governorship election in the state, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu.
Meanwhile, Hon. Roland Asoro, the member representing Orhionmwon II Constituency in the Edo State House of Assembly (EDHA) was elected deputy speaker.
