Coordinating Director of Research, Genocide Research Network; Dr. Nwankwo Tony Nwaezeigwe has disclosed that the Hausa and the Fulani are strangers in Kaduna state, revealing that the Southern Kaduna people are the aborigines of the state.
Dr. Nwankwo who spoke exclusively with ElombahNews through zoom meeting added that Hausa, Fulani have no right to lay claim to anything in Kaduna state. [SEE VIDEO BELOW]
The expert said, “When Kaduna state was created it was obvious then that the Christians have a higher population than the Muslims. There were only 16 local governments in Kaduna state, 11 local governments for the Southern Kaduna, and five for the present Muslim areas.
“What did late Sani Abacha do? He doubled the Hausa side from five local governments to 11 local governments and increased their constituencies.
“The Southern Kaduna was supposed to have 11 local governments when it was created.
“Kaduna was purely middle-belter land devastated by slave trade and the Fulani cannot claim anything about the area, it was colonialism that brought them in.
“The present Kaduna was a railway junction that was created by Lord Lugard, that made it to transfer the capital from Zungeru to that point and it was an indigenous land.
“Just like Jos north, it was a mining area, then through the mining activities the Fulani and the Hausa came and took over the place and they are claiming owner of the place.”
He added, “Christians’ middle- belter are always under siege by the Fulani militia since pre-colonial era. They killed southerners because of religious issue, no one tries to fight back, and they continue, because nobody cares about it and it continues.
“We talked about slavery during European invasion of Africa, but we forgot that over 1000 years before the trans-Atlantic trade began, Arabs had enslaved black Africans and they even continue today.
“Let me just make it clear, most of my friends in the UN will not agree with me, but the average Europeans have much respect for the Arabs than Africans.
“The Arabs still regard the Blackman as “Abdul” which means slave up till today.
“The first policy of President Muhammadu Buhari in office in 2015 was to link us up with the Arab world.
“Every problem we have in Nigeria today has strong imprints of Arab imperialism in Africa (Arab expansion history in Nigeria).”
