Adamawa state governor, Ahmadu Fintiri says, the state owned media houses, Adamawa Broadcasting Corporation (ABC Radio) and Adamawa Television Corporation (ATV) Yola would be transformed for to ensure wider and effective coverage of the state.
To this end Fintiri pledged that before the end of this year, the two stations would cover effectively the northern part of the state and beyond.
He explained that, it imperative for people who voted them to power to be adequately informed and educated on the dividends of democracy government provided for them inline with campaign promises.
The promise followed request made by the Emir of Mubi Alhaji Abubakar Isa Ahmadu who led a delegation of stakeholders from northern part of the state on a solidarity visit.
He said his administration will ensure that the booster stations reach the people of northern part of the state adding no amount of pressure would deter him in that regard.
Government remained committed to peace and security in Mubi Zone and the state as a whole and reminded them that security is everybody’s business and sought for people to complement efforts of government to arrest crime and criminality.
Earlier be in his remark, the Emir of Mubi Alhaji Abubakar Isa Ahmadu lauded the giant strides of the present administration describing it as carrying everyone along.
He also commended governments development in the areas of security, health, education, civil service and infrastructure development and urged the governor to sustain the development.
Chairman Mubi-South Local Government Council, Alhaji Jingi Rufai, appreciated the appointment 144 people from the area into key offices under his administration.
