Imo State Chapter of All Progressives Congress has dismissed a suspension letter purportedly addressed to the State Chairman of the party, Honorable Daniel Nwafor and signed by the former party Chairman, Marcellinus Nlemigbo as null and void.

Onwuasoanya Jones, the State publicity secretary of the party said Mr Marcellinus Nlemigbo remains an impostor because he has been ostracized from the party after a disciplinary investigation was carefully carried out.

He advised the general public and other relevant institutions that are dealing with him to be mindful because he doesn’t represent the party in any capacity.

“The attention of the All Progressives Congress in Imo State has been drawn to a purported letter of suspension, mischievously addressed to the State Chairman of the Party, Honorable Daniel Nwafor and signed by a non Party member and impostor, Marcellinus Nlemigbo”.

“The Party wishes to remind Party members, relevant institutions, agencies and the general public, that even though, Mr. Marcellinus Nlemigbo has continued to parade himself as the State Chairman of the APC in Imo State and has surreptitiously deceived the national leadership of the Party into endorsing his illegitimate actions, he remains, an impostor, as his membership of the Party has long been suspended by his Ezinihitte Mbieri ward, Mbaitoli LGA and the Imo State Working Committee of the Party in line with the laid down procedures and rules in the 2014 Constitution of our Party (As Amended)”.

“Nlemigbo, has since the 2nd of January, 2019, ceased to be a member of the All Progressives Congress, following a transparent and fair disciplinary investigation carried out by his ward at Ezinihitte Mbieri Ward in Mbaitoli LGA”.

“The purported letter of suspension signed by Mr. Nlemigbo further exposes him as pathetically ignorant of basic Party rules and procedures, which stipulates that one’s membership of the APC begins at the ward level and any disciplinary action to be taken against a member of the Party, no matter how highly placed MUST be initiated at the ward level, failure of which, such action is a nullity”.

“We once again warn that anyone dealing with Mr. Marcellinus Nlemigbo on behalf of the Party, does so at his own risk and any action taken by him or his cohorts in the name of the Party, remains a nullity”.
