The National Directorate of Employment (NDE) has commence the training of 100 youth on sustainable Agricultural development in Adamawa state.
The state Coordinator, Malam Ibrahim Audu, said the theoretical and practical training is to last for three months.
Represented by Mr Miwa Lasco, HOD Special Public Works, said that the beneficiaries would be trained on Livestock, Vegetables production and basic business practices.
The Coordinator commended the management for providing all support for the success of the training not only in Adamawa, but the nation in general.
State Director, National Orientation Agency (NOA), Mohammed Gabdo advised the beneficiaries to consider farming as a lucrative business, hence the need for the trainees to concentrate.
He called on them to be good ambassadors of Nigeria by ensuring peace, unity for sustainable development and more success life.
Dr Dishi Kwabe, Commissioner for Agriculture, lauded NDE for the programme and urged the beneficiaries to be committed as they would appreciate it at the end of the day.
Kwabe who was represented by his Deputy Director, Mr Kudu Samuel said that the state government is also committed in that direction.
He said that, those who are serious would soon be gainfully employed and employers of labour.
Also in his remarks, the Farm Manager, Mr Audi Tola said that farming is the good profession that has no end and advised them to pay attention.
Miss Augustine Gabriel, a beneficiaries thanked the NDE for creating the trainings platform.
