Atiku Abubakar, the former vice president of Nigeria has reacted over the reports of human rights abuse against unarmed civilians calling for an end to SARS brutality.
Atiku in a statement said protests are an essential part of any democracy and should be seen as an opportunity for dialogue between our people and our leaders.
He also called on the authorities to listen to the demands of the youths and every incident of excessive use of force against the protesters investigated.
He said, “I woke up to the peaceful #EndSARSProtests going on in Lagos and other cities in the country.
