Wogu, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Abia State turned 56 on Friday, January 29.
In a congratulatory message by his spokesman, Mr. Femi Adesina, in Abuja on Thursday, the president saluted Wogu for the various services he has rendered to the country, at local, state and federal levels.
Wogu was onetime Chairman, Abia South Local Government Area, Political Adviser to a former Abia State Governor, Federal Commissioner, Revenue Mobilization and Fiscal Commission, and two-term Minister, among others.
Buhari wished the recipient of the Commander of the Order of the Niger (CON) good health and greater years of service to country and humanity.
Senate Chief Whip, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu on his part described Wogu as as a hardworking, gentle and urbanefellow.
Kalu joined other Abians in celebrating the accomplishments of the celebrant in all spheres of life.
He enjoined Wogu to remain a good worker and good man as he prayed God to grant him grace to serve humanity the more.
In a goodwill message, Kalu said:”On behalf of the people of Abia North Senatorial District, I wholeheartedly congratulate my former Political Adviser and former Minister of Labour and Productivity, Chief Emeka Wogu as he clocks 56.
“The contributions of the former minster to the growth and development of Abia state and Nigeria in general are remarkable and worthy of commendation. As the celebrator marks his birthday, I encourage him to sustain his good deeds.”
The former governor wished the former minister continued success in life.
Wogu was the first political adviser to Kalu when he was governor of Abia State and it was from that position he was appointed into the Revenue Mobilisation, Allocation and Fiscal Commission.
