He stated that he visited the affected communities of Luu-Sue and Zor-Sogho in Khana Local Government Area to commiserate with victims of the mayhem.
Dekor stated that the visit also availed him the opportunity to have an on-the-spot assessment of the level of damage caused by the crisis.
He said that he was traumatised by the sufferings of displaced villagers.
“This is indeed condemnable, but I assure the victims of government’s readiness to bring the perpetrators of the horrific crime to book,” Dekor stated.
He expressed delight that the council chairman, Mr Lahteh Loolo, along with security agencies and major stakeholders in the area, was working hard to find the causes and possible solutions to the crisis.
“The chairman has also directed that both communities should present critical stakeholders, who will also assist the government to seek a permanent solution to the crisis.
“As a lawmaker, I will continue to play my role in ensuring that peace and tranquility are restored in my constituency, which is the reason for this visit,” Dekor said.
According to the statement, the lawmaker was accompanied on the visit by council chairmen, lawmakers from the constituency and the Khana Security Planning Advisory Committee members.
