The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has refuted claims that it informed Corps members to stop wearing their uniform.
The NYSC in a statement on its Twitter page urged Nigerians to disregard the report, describing it as ‘fake and baseless.
”The attention of NYSC Management has been drawn to a release trending online, purported to have been issued by the Scheme, directing Corps Members to stop wearing NYSC uniform to Community Development Service meetings, as well as other official programmes.
”Management wishes to state that the information is fake and baseless, as it did not emanate from the Corps.
”Corps members are advised to always glean authentic information only from NYSC social media platforms and the traditional media” it added.
