ElombahNews has gathered that the Cross Rivers State Police Command has arrested a journalist, human rights activist and newspaper publisher, Agba Jalingo, on accusation that he deals on arms.
Journalist Jalingo was arrested on Friday, June 11, 2021, by the Cross Rivers State Police Command right at the police headquarter in Calabar where he went to honour an invitation by the Commissioner of Police, Kayode Sikiru.
Recall that Mr. Jalingo was also arrested on August 22, 2019, by the Nigeria’s Special Anti-Robbery Squad in Lagos and brought to Calabar, the Cross Rivers State Capital, where he was detained till court order was obtained before authorites charged him on August 30, 2019, for disturbance of peace, treason and terrorism.
