Igboho: Protests In Ibadan, US, UK

Hundreds of supporters and associates of Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as

Sunday Igboho has on Wednesday staged a peaceful protest along the

Lagos-Ibadan expressway to demand the immediate release of Igboho’s

associates arrested by the members of the Department of  State Security

Services (DSS).

The protesters who are moving from the Soka expressway demanding the

release of families, friends and associates of Sunday Igboho caused free

vehicular movement along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway for some minutes

before they later moved to the major streets in Ibadan.

They also move to Challenge and Molete areas demanding for the immediate

release of the arrested persons.

The protesters are currently on their way to the palace of Olubadan of

Ibadan, Oba Saliu Adetunji to solicit support for the release of the

arrested persons as of the time of filing this report.

It could be recalled that some people were arrested at the house of Sunday

Igboho last week Thursday when his residence was invaded by a combined team

of Department of State Service (DSS) around 1.am.

The Department of State Service (DSS) confirmed the arrest of the thirteen

persons.

But, family members, relatives of those who were arrested and supporters of

Sunday Igboho have called for the the release of their kinsmen.

The family members during the protest staged at across Ibadan metropolis on

Wednesday described the arrest as illegal.

The protesters who dressed in black attires are calling on the DSS to

release tthe arrested persons.

They maintained that the protest is also going on in the United States of

America (USA) and United Kingdom (UK), declaring that it will continue

tomorrow in Ibadan while other South west states will also join as from
