The Delta State Police Command led by CP Ari Muhammed Ali has confirmed the death of a fourteen year old girl, Favour Appiah in a hotel swimming pool in Effurun, Uvwie Local Government Area.
The Acting Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe on Tuesday afternoon confirmed the report in a telephone chat with Our Correspondent in Warri
The Police Image maker said, “It is confirmed. Investigations are ongoing. That’s all I can say for now.”
He did not disclose if any arrests of the Management staff of the hotel where the incident occurred has been arrested when Our Correspondent asked.
It was learnt that the fourteen-year-old girl, Favour Appiah drowned in Maneux hotel swimming Pool on Sunday afternoon after she was declared missing. by her relatives.
Her body was later found floating in the swimming pool by her relatives in the hotel.
It was also learnt that her remains was allegedly deposited at the Central Hospital morgue in Warri by the Management of the hotel.
Efforts to speak with the Management of the hotel were unsuccessful at the time of this report.
