Coronavirus: Those plotting to disrupt distribution of palliatives will be sanctioned – Wike
Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has warned that anyone plotting to disrupt the distribution of palliatives in the state will be sanctioned as Coronavirus continues to spread across Nigeria.
According to Wike, some people only criticize for the sake of political mileage and not to add value.
The governor said this in a series of tweets on his official Twitter page on Friday.
“Those plotting to disrupt the distribution of palliatives will be sanctioned,” Wike tweeted.
“Some persons only criticise for the sake of political mileage and not to add value.
“We were the first state in the Federation to close our borders. This attracted criticisms, but we have been vindicated as other states emulated this positive strategy.
“My administration chose to be proactive because it places a premium on the lives of Rivers people.”
Rivers State has recorded only two Coronavirus cases of which one of the COVID-19 patients has been discharged.
Meanwhile, Nigeria recorded 35 confirmed cases of Coronavirus on Thursday night. One hundred fifty-two patients have been discharged with thirteen deaths recorded.
