Coronavirus kills NCDC supervisor
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has lost one of its top staff, J.J. Shalanga.
Shalanga died of coronavirus complications on Sunday.
The medical doctor was posted to Zamfara as State Supervisor three months ago.
Commissioner for Health, Yahaya Kanoma, confirmed that the official fell ill.
He was rushed to Yariman Bakura Specialist Hospital, Gusau, but died before arrival.
Kanoma disclosed that his samples when tested showed he died of COVID-19.
Shalanga will be buried in Plateau State.
