Why I Am ‘Buhari Die hard’ – Ex-DCI Nta
Retired Deputy Controller of Immigration, Ime Unaowo Nta has given reasons on why he remained ‘a Buhari die hard’ stressing that Buhari is the only respectable leader who had served Nigeria in different capacity with unblemished records.
Nta gave his reasons while interacting with journalists in Calabar on days after receiving award of excellence by the Institute of Human and Natural Resources in Calabar.
He stressed that despite criticism from different quarters over President Muhammadu Buhari’s position on his determination to tackle corruption, the president remains undaunted.
According to Nta, “If there was any worthy leader who should be branded as a man of integrity, for serving the nation diligently without any blemish record is President Muhammadu Buhari.
Nta who spoke on the topic ‘is the president to be blame since the buck stops on his table?, the ex- deputy Controller of Immigration averred that part of the president’s strides that made him dove his cap for President Muhammadu Buhari is that PMB is one of the country’s leaders who wouldn’t hesitate to raise alarm against any misconduct committed by any of his cabinet members.
Part of the reasons that propelled him to remained a ‘Buhari die hard’ is that PMB is one leader in the country who can allow the law to take its course against any man or woman found wanting by the law without using his presidential fiat to obstruct justice.
A case study of what the retired immigration officer said regarding PMB’s integrity as quoted by the Punch newspaper of March 6,2016 where President Muhammadu Buhari couldn’t hide his feelings on the perception he holds concerning some political appointees whom he alleged of being saboteurs notwithstanding the fact such weighty allegations could tarnished the administration’s reputation.
Nta who further gave reasons on why he remained a “Buhari die hard” stressing that it was the bold step taken by President Muhammadu Buhari to change the way and manner in which things are done, that the president is able to check or stop corrupt leaders from looting the truly.
“I wish to use this forum to publicly say unequivocally and emphatically that I voted for APC flag bearer in the person of president Buhari, on the following reasons and I will remain one of the overwhelming Nigerians tagged ” Buhari die hard “. Nta said.
The one time Special Assistant to minister of interior (Immigration Matters) further stressed it is only in the Buhari’s administration that individual appointed by previous administration can again be reappointed to serve in present administration.
Nta who was rated as best passport Control Officer Calabar, lauded the PMB’s administration for reappointing the immediate past chairman of Nigeria’s anti-graft agencies ( ICPC) Barr. Ekpo Nta who was given appointment by previous administration of former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan to head the ICPC and is now also given opportunity by the PMB’s administration to serve as chairman wages and salaries.
The former Special Assistant to minister of Aviation (Security Matters) averred that a lot of individuals had so far been reappointed to serve in PMB’s cabinet even though they didn’t support PMB’s presidential ambition when he took the decision to buy presidential ticket.
“Right from my childhood days till date, his records in public offices, military Head of State, now democratically elected president remains immaculate.
“Even his worse critics has not question his astute integrity and high moral proclivity as compared to his predecessors.” Nta said.
