Solskjaer speaks on who to blame for Man Utd’s 3-1 defeat to Crystal Palace

Manchester United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, has refused to blame Victor Lindelof for their 3-1 defeat to Crystal Palace on Saturday.

Lindelof was at fault for all the goals his side conceded in their first Premier League fixture of the season.

Solskjaer’s men were behind in the seventh minute, after Jeffrey Schlupp set up Andros Towsend to make it 1-0.

Lindelof was penalised for a handball for the second goal, resulting in a controversial penalty, before being bullied by Wilfried Zaha for the third goal.

United legend, Gary Neville, described Lindelof as “weak” during commentary, while Ryan Giggs also criticized his centre-back partner Harry Maguire.

But Solskjaer refused to point fingers after the defeat to Palace and feels his whole squad is lacking sharpness.

“Well we all need games, we all need sharpness, we all need time to get back to our best.

“And I think we are going to get better but we’re playing catch-up. And today of course we didn’t defend as well as we could have done.

“But I wouldn’t point any fingers at any individuals, no I wouldn’t,” he told the BBC.
