Galatasaray midfielder, Oghenekaro Etebo, will miss the Super Eagles’ friendly games against Algeria and Tunisia on October 9 and 13 respectively, in Austria.
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) confirmed his unavailability on Monday via its Twitter handle.
According to NFF, Etebo picked up a knock at the weekend.
Paul Onuachu has been invited as his replacement.
“@NGSuperEagles midfielder @etebo_karo is out of the friendly games against Algeria and Tunisia.
“He picked up a knock in his club’s game in Turkey yesterday,” the NFF tweeted.
Etebo becomes the third major withdrawal after Wilfred Ndidi and Victor Osimhen were ruled out.
