Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp has taken full responsibility for his side’s 1-0 defeat to Southampton in the Premier League on Monday night.
Klopp saw Liverpool suffer their second defeat of this season’s Premier League campaign at St Mary’s Stadium after Danny Ings’s early goal for Southampton.
The defeat against Southampton means Liverpool are still on top of the Premier League table with 33 points from 17 games.
Klopp’s men have seven goals difference ahead of second place, Manchester United, which has 33 points from 16 games.
“I heard now we only had one shot on target; we had a lot of shots next to the target which we did not finish, but even with them we probably did not have enough for the moments we had.
“Our fault, my responsibility and that’s it,” Klopp was quoted by Liverpool’s official website as saying after the game.
Liverpool’s next fixture is against Aston Villa in the FA Cup third-round tie on Friday.
