The Lagos State government has decentralised the sampling centres for coronavirus (COVID-19) in the state.
The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Health, Oreoluwa Finnih, announced this in a tweet on Sunday.
Finnih, a public health advocate, explained that the facilities were located across the 20 local government areas of the state.
It said the decision to establish the testing sites across the LGAs is geared towards increasing testing capacity in the state.
The government said the centres are meant for those who fit the case definition of COVID-19.
It added that “visit to these centres is strictly by appointment and it’s not for emergency cases”.
The ministry advised the residents to request a test and choose where they are in Lagos and share their feedbacks.
